14 August 2022 Stragglers of Asia vs Hampshire Hogs at Warnford
Result: Stragglers of Asia lost by 7 wickets
Match Report:
Stragglers (with Conor Brown at the helm) won the toss and were bowled out for 164. Fine batting from Abeed Janmohamed, who passed 50 but some longer partnerships through the middle order would have helped our cause. There was good support from the tail, led by Tom Whyte who scored 23 at number 11. Tom did a great job in protecting the match manager from the strike. The Hogs chased the total down to win by 7 wickets. Some concerted bowling from Sam Reid, Mark Banham, Danny Dawson and Tom Whyte. Sadly Joe Reid pulled a quad in the field and was unable to bowl. Some good support in the field in warm conditions, whilst Abeed was peerless behind the timbers. The Stragglers enjoyed their day in the Warnford bowl. There was precious little breeze; the warm air just sat in for the duration. Roll on to our next fixture in early September.
