The cricket ground at Ascott Park sits in the glorious grounds of the beautiful Ascott House (now owned by the National Trust), built in 1606 near Wing, north of Aylesbury. As well as catering for the cricket, the ornate pavilion provides tea rooms for visitors to the house, who from time to time come across to watch some play. Stragglers of Asia plays several games at Ascott across the season against fellow wandering clubs, and sees the ground as one of our “homes away from home”.
Cricket ground entrance is 250m away from the National Trust – Ascott Park main entrance, on A418, nearer to the A4146 junction.
