The six-week England 60s Tour of Australia tour departed UK on 4th November to play 11 matches across Eastern Australia including three Test Matches against Australia and one against New Zealand. The Tour party travelled to Sydney, Canberra, Tasmania, Melbourne and Brisbane. Nine games were completed, winning seven, losing two and with two abandoned to rain. ‘Country’ opponents included State sides of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and ACT. The final test was played in Brisbane on 8th December.
 
Mark’s contribution was to open the bowling and bat low order in seven games including one of the Tests against Australia and the Test against New Zealand.  Mark batted 4 times, with an aggregate of 20 runs, at an average of 10 (two not outs); 7 of Mark’s runs were scored in the third Test against Australia.  Mark bowled a total of 33 overs, taking 5 wickets for 109 runs at an average of 20.75 and an economy rate of 3.3.  In his Tests Mark bowled 13 overs, taking 2 wickets for 41 runs, with an economy rate of 3.15.
 
Mark now returns to captain Wiltshire 60s for a second year in 2020, in 2019 having led the County XI to its first post-season County Championship play offs for 10 years.”
